- UTM SPACE: Advancing Careers Through Continuing Education
School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPACE) UTM was established in 1993. The main objective was to be a center of excellence in providing professional continuing education for career advancement.
- SPACE UTM: Growth from Registrar Office to Dual-Campus Operations
From a humble beginning at the registrar office of UTM, SPACE is currently operating at Block T05, UTM Johor Bahru, and Level 2, UTM Residency, Kuala Lumpur.
- Establishment of UTM's School for Continuing Education
On 15 October 1992, the Ministry of Education Malaysia had approved for the establishment of School for Continuing Education for UTM to promote lifelong learning programmes.
- SPACE Expands UTM Programs Through Nationwide College Collaborations
Starting in the 1995/1996 academic session, SPACE offered 8 programmes of which three were Diploma Programmes and five degree programmes. Currently, SPACE collaborates with 14 private colleges throughout Malaysia to offer UTM Diploma and Degree programmes.

UTM is renowned for its strong programs and research in engineering and technology, contributing to the nation's technical and professional workforce.
